Sr. Firefighting Officer

JOB PURPOSE

To supervise and coordinate daily routines fire-fighting and emergency activities in QAPCO and subsidiaries and contribute to the reliability of the all firefighting facilities to ensure everyone follows the written firefighting rules, regulations and procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinate with maintenance sections and issue work requests for routine and none routine maintenance work related to firefighting vehicles, devices and equipment’s to ensure equipment availability and integrity.
Develop and update maintenance history for all firefighting equipment or vehicles.
Prepare monthly reports, maintain the technical library with technical information, manuals and literature, and conduct administrative duties such as preparing memos related to FF activities
Contribute to organize the corresponding activities of the Shift FF team members.
Disseminate HSE information to the shift FF team members.

Be proactive in promoting safety awareness to all the shift FF team members.
Conduct site visits and brings any potential fire hazards to the attention of the concerned parties for appropriate action to ensure that they can be dealt with in a timely manner.
Assist at the investigation incident of all fire incidents involving QAPCO’s staff and contractors’ personnel to analyze the emergency response and determine the actions to improve the emergency response.
Contribute at the development of fire and emergency programs and procedures and formulates monthly drill schedule for all firefighting teams.
Participate at the coordination of the firefighting activities with Mesaieed MIC Emergency Centre to ensure in case of emergencies prompt and immediate help can be called for support and rescue according QP/MIC notification process.
